Title: Financial Analyst Employment Status: Full-time

Summary

The Finance Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Ox Hill’s financial decision-making process. You’ll analyze financial data, assess risks, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize project outcomes. The role requires strong financial modeling skills, commercial real estate-related experience, and education.

 

Key Responsibilities

§ Create dynamic financial models to forecast project revenues, costs, cash flows, and investment returns.

§ Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, demand drivers, and competitive landscape.

§ Communicate professionally with internal teams and project stakeholders.

§ Integrate numerous spreadsheets to create several possible outcomes for our development opportunities. Analyze combinations and determine which options achieve the best execution.

§ Assess property values using various methods and analyze investment opportunities based on risk-adjusted returns to recommend optimal investment strategies.

§ Collaborate with marketing to convey financial analysis in presentations and investment packages.

§ Evaluate the financial impact of sustainable building features and other initiatives.

§ Assist with the capital budgeting and expenditure planning process.

§ Identify financial risks associated with real estate investments and propose mitigation strategies.

§ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, construction, accounting, legal, marketing, and others.

§ Clearly and accurately communicate complex financial findings, forecasts, variances, and trends to coworkers, clients, and vendors.

§ Explore alternative financing strategies and unique investment structures to bring creative solutions to the table.

§ Engage coworkers, clients, and vendors to collect accurate, useful financial data.

 

Education/Experience Requirements

§ Strong fluency in Excel is required.

§ High proficiency in financial modeling techniques is required.

§ Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Architecture, or a related field.

§ 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred

§ Preferred experience with CoStar, STR, Argus, Yardi, and other financial software.

§ Experience in branded hospitality development is a bonus.

§ Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Work Environment

This position operates in a typical office environment. Occasional moderate lifting of packages up to 20lbs may be required.

Regular Workweek

This is a full-time, exempt position with core hours from Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. At times, the role may require work outside core hours to accommodate business needs.
