Job Description

SUMMARY: 

Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Electronic Technician Maintenance II positions at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft training devices 
  • Uphold documentation standards, ensuring complete and updated aircraft maintenance records
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex, aircraft-related tasks
  • Effectively prioritize workload, ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects
  • Maintaining and repairing various aircraft training device components 
  • Understanding and applying information from manuals, service bulletins, and technical data 
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations 
  • Perform periodic inspections on devices as determined by the OEM and local policy
  • Perform miscellaneous duties to service and maintain aircraft training device appearance 
  • Create, update and close maintenance records of the work performed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft training device maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with specialized testing equipment 
  • Intermediate knowledge of aircraft training devices, components, and maintenance procedures 
  • Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft training systems component troubleshooting and repair
  • A foundational understanding of electrical theory
  • Extensive familiarity with specialized tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Obtain/maintain a valid state driver’s license and installation driving privileges
