ABOUT PARKWAY-ROCKWOOD COMMUNITY ED: 


Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed is a partnership of the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts that provides high-quality programs that enhance the quality of life for residents.

POSITION SUMMARY: 


As a member of the Community Ed team, the Club Volleyball Program Instructor will assist in ensuring effective administration of programs to ensure the volleyball club program furthers the mission of Community Ed in the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts.,


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  



  1. Assist in providing technical instruction during programs.

  2. Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor.

  3. Attend staff meetings as required.

  4. Promote club through positive interactions and communications with parents and athletes. and other volleyball clubs

  5. Maintain accurate timekeeping records.

  6. Perform other duties as assigned.


 


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILIITIES:  



  • Must work well as part of a team and individually.

  • Ability to establish and execute priorities with minimum direction or instruction.

  • Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to judge when situations and/or information should be called to the attention of supervisor

  • Ability to access and work in a variety of locations, travel throughout the Parkway and Rockwood districts, and work non-traditional hours which may include nights and weekends.

  • Ability to bend, twist, lift and manipulate equipment, supplies and mail.


 


BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  



  1. Must be high school age.

  2. Current CAP I, CAP II and Impact Certifications or ability to attain required.

  3. Experience in age group club volleyball programs.

  4. Knowledge of volleyball techniques, skills and methods.

  5. Working knowledge of Google Workspaces and Microsoft Office software.

  • General office equipment

  • Volleyball equipment


 


WORK ENVIRONMENT:  



  • Within assigned building(s) in Parkway and Rockwood locations.

  • While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, stand and reach.


 


Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed is a self-funded department and is not funded through the district's general operating budget. All positions are contingent upon the ongoing financial viability of the Community Ed program.
