Job Description

Title: CNC Programmer

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and the ability to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and multi-axis machines 
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models 
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting methods, and machine parameters 
  • Set up and prove out new programs on CNC equipment 
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements 
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams 
  • Ensure all programs meet quality standards and specifications 
  • Maintain organized program documentation and revision control 
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies 

 

 



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles 
  • Knowledge of various materials (metals, plastics, alloys) 
  • Familiarity with tooling design and fixturing 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 


 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred) 
  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience 
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Creo, Windchill, and Vericut) 
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming 
  • Experience with multi-axis machining preferred 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T 
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Manufacturing/production floor setting 
  • Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required 
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and shop conditions
