Job Description

Role Overview:  The Training Consultant partners closely with leadership, subject matter experts, Instructional Designers, LMS technologists, and Training Specialists to ensure training solutions are aligned to business priorities and delivered effectively. This role owns the end-to-end execution of assigned training solutions and exercises independent judgment when consulting with business partners and determining appropriate learning approaches. The Training Consultant contributes to the evolution of training strategy through analysis, consultation, and execution, while focusing on solution delivery, readiness, and continuous improvement within assigned initiatives, in alignment with direction and priorities established by training leadership.

Work Arrangement:

  • Remote – This position is fully remote and may be performed from any location within the United States; however, the associate must work during Eastern Standard Time (EST).
  • Travel up to 20%. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee training solutions for the LOB, including curriculum materials, delivery approach, and logistics
  • Consult with LOB leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create new training as needed.
  • Support the delivery of all training, including internal, external, and systems training, with an emphasis on LOB needs
  • Collaborate with Instructional Design and Training Specialist to update all internal/external systems and LOB training
  • Perform training needs assessments in partnership with management to determine organizational and LOB training needs
  • Partner with LMS Technologists to ensure training materials and logistics are current and accurate
  • Provide instructional design knowledge to support training initiatives
  • Lead the training workstream on assigned projects

Complexities and Cross-Functional Interaction:

  • Manage the creation of LOB-specific training while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of existing organizational training
  • Navigate and manage varying stakeholder needs throughout the training creation and design process
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with LOB partners and training teams.

Organizational Impact and Decision-Making:

  • Exercise independent judgment when consulting on training creation and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Drive strategic organizational impact through a consultative partnership with LOB leaders
  • Ensure consistency and alignment in training approaches across multiple training channels

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • Master’s degree, preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in training delivery, instructional design, facilitation, and classroom management are required
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning approaches
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook
  • Experience using authoring tools for instructional design

Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in training delivery and enterprise-wide learning solutions
  • Strong consultation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead training workstreams and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of learning management system (LMS) functionality and capabilities
  • Instructional design and training development knowledge
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI enabled productivity tools, or demonstrated willingness to learn and apply AI to support training design, delivery, documentation, and continuous improvement
