The Nemours Neonatology Physician Assistant Fellowship is a post‑graduate, transition‑to‑practice training program designed to support novice physician assistants through protected didactic learning time, structured clinical training, and dedicated mentorship. The fellowship provides a supportive educational framework with progressive autonomy, clearly defined supervision, and competency‑based milestones under the guidance of experienced neonatologists and neonatal advanced practice providers. The program’s goal is to develop increased confidence and clinical competence, positioning the PA fellow to deliver high‑quality, safe and effective care in a neonatal setting.
This is a twelve‑month fellowship responsible for a specialized area of physician assistant practice, providing both direct and indirect care to neonatal patients and their families. The Neonatology Physician Assistant Fellow will rotate through the newborn nursery as well as Level II, Level III, and Level IV NICU settings across the Delaware Valley, gaining exposure to varying levels of neonatal acuity.
