Job Description

FLSA: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary

StationServ is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of petroleum and convenience store equipment across our service locations. This role is field-based and plays a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of fueling systems and related electrical infrastructure.

This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes ownership of their work, prioritizes safety, and delivers high-quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems related to petroleum equipment, including fuel dispensers, pumps, tank monitoring systems, and control systems 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using meters, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals 
  • Perform inspections and testing to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures 
  • Complete service calls in a timely and professional manner while maintaining strong customer relationships 
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service details using company systems
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding job status and needs 
  • Follow all company safety protocols and immediately report any hazards, incidents, or compliance concerns 
  • Maintain company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition 
  • Support other service functions and assist team members as needed 

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 2+ years of electrical experience (commercial, industrial, or petroleum industry preferred) 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical systems 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams 
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision 
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally/regionally and respond to service calls as needed 
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the petroleum equipment industry (fuel dispensers, POS systems, tank monitoring, etc.) 
  • Electrical license or certification (state or local) 
  • Experience with low-voltage systems, controls, or automation 
  • OSHA or safety certifications 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring travel to customer sites 
  • Regular lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods 
  • Exposure to outdoor elements, fuel systems, and industrial environments 
  • On-call or after-hours work may be required based on business needs
