- Ability to effectively administer student counseling services, and to work with parents and community groups and agencies.
- Knowledge of college and career readiness programs, post-secondary planning, and student transition supports.
- Experience in school counseling and leadership.
- Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Appropriate New Jersey certification required.
- Lead and oversee the K�12 school counseling program aligned to district goals.
- Supervise and evaluate school counselors and related staff.
- Use data and tools to monitor student progress and improve outcomes.
- Develop partnerships with colleges, careers, and military organizations to expand student opportunities.
- Oversee counseling curriculum, programs, and services across all grade levels.
- Collaborate with administrators and supervisors to ensure alignment and support for students.
- Ensure accurate student records and compliance with state requirements.
- Coordinate hiring, training, and professional development for counseling staff.
- Analyze program data to guide improvements.
- Support high school scheduling and coordinate assessments (AP, PSAT, SAT).
