    The District is seeking a qualified and experienced leader to serve as Director of School Counseling. This position provides oversight of a comprehensive K�12 school counseling program with a focus on college and career readiness, student support, and post-secondary success.

     Qualifications Include:

    1. Expertise in child development and the fundamental theories of counseling and guidance.
    2. Ability to effectively administer student counseling services, and to work with parents and community groups and agencies.
    3. Knowledge of college and career readiness programs, post-secondary planning, and student transition supports.
    4. Experience in school counseling and leadership.
    5. Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
    6. Appropriate New Jersey certification required.

    Performance Responsibilities Include:

    1. Lead and oversee the K�12 school counseling program aligned to district goals.
    2. Supervise and evaluate school counselors and related staff.
    3. Use data and tools to monitor student progress and improve outcomes.
    4. Develop partnerships with colleges, careers, and military organizations to expand student opportunities.
    5. Oversee counseling curriculum, programs, and services across all grade levels.
    6. Collaborate with administrators and supervisors to ensure alignment and support for students.
    7. Ensure accurate student records and compliance with state requirements.
    8. Coordinate hiring, training, and professional development for counseling staff.
    9. Analyze program data to guide improvements.
    10. Support high school scheduling and coordinate assessments (AP, PSAT, SAT).
    11. Serve in district leadership roles, including Crisis Coordinator, Home Instruction Coordinator, and Threat Assessment Team member.
    12. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent. 

    Salary: $110,667 (minimum) to $154,947 (maximum) commensurate with experience
