Full-time Group Life Counselor position available immediately for ourAdult Treatment Center in Tacoma, WA. The person hired will either beworking as a GLC/CDPT or CDP(SUD) (depending on experience). Thisinpatient rehabilitation center is designed to provide culturallysensitive chemical dependency services to patients who are athigh-risk and require constant care and empathy to help in dealingwith their substance use disorder. Services are provided toout-of-control, high-risk, chronic runaway youth. These youth/adulthave a primary diagnosis of chemical dependency and may also havemental health problems. The person in this position must be of goodcharacter and able to maintain the understanding, physical health,emotional stability, and personality suited to meet the physical,mental, emotional, and social needs of the adolescent populationserved. A mid-level person is expected to have a, €œmoderate tocomplete€ understanding of how to provide the direct services listedabove.The Group Life Counselor IV is a CDPT position that is part of themulti-disciplinary treatment team. Direct services may include acombination or all of the following: group care, intake procedures,evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management,evaluation, and supervision of patients. A GLC IV is expected to beproficient in their understanding on how to provide the directservices listed above. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE FOR A GLC IV: * Must hold an Associate's degree or be enrolled in a program tocomplete in Psychology, Sociology and Human Services, Addictions orrelated field; Bachelors' preferred. * Must be registered with DOH as a CDPT.Hourly - Hourly Plan, 0.00 USD Hourly
