Why join us?

We’re on a mission to empower people with disabilities to do what they once did or never thought possible. As the world-leader in assistive communication solutions, we empower our customers to express themselves, connect with the world, and live richer lives.

At Tobii Dynavox, you can grow your career within a dynamic, global company that has a clear, impactful purpose - with the flexibility to also do what truly matters to you outside of work. What’s more, you’ll be part of a work culture where collaboration is the norm and individuality is welcomed.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the power to innovate for good. You’ll see your ideas in use in new applications, work with the latest technology on leading platforms, and deliver meaningful solutions for our customers.

We are looking for a Senior Requirements Engineer to lead and evolve our requirements engineering discipline across the full product lifecycle. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring clear, traceable, and compliant requirements while driving continuous improvement of our requirements processes and ALM tooling to support efficient and transparent product development.

What you will do

  • Lead requirements development by defining system and subsystem requirements derived from stakeholder and user needs, ensuring completeness, clarity, consistency, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Own and continuously improve requirements management practices, including ways of working and bidirectional traceability across the product lifecycle.
  • Drive the implementation, optimization, and governance of requirements and ALM tools to support requirements and traceability engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Quality and Regulatory, UX, Hardware, Software, and Operations teams to ensure requirements alignment, architectural clarity, and verification readiness.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

What you bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience with requirements engineering, system decomposition, and traceability management for medical devices.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering roles involving both hardware and software, working in both linear and agile development frameworks for medical devices.
  • Experience designing and executing system verification activities, including acceptance criteria and test evidence.
  • Experience working with requirements and ALM tools such as Polarion, Jama, DOORS, Codebeamer, or equivalent.
  • Prior involvement in implementing or migrating ALM or requirements tools is highly desirable.

Skills and competencies

  • Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and support project team members in delivering on their responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trust across functions.
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of regulated frameworks such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA QSR, EU MDR, and ISO 15288 is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Certifications

  • INCOSE SEP certification.
  • SAFe certification, such as SAFe Practitioner or Architect, or a strong systems engineering background within Agile environments.
