ADM is looking for an energetic HR Generalist to support our Lloydminster plant that processes canola seeds into oil, animal feed, and renewable fuel (biodiesel). As a trusted advisor, you will guide supervisors and managers, resolve workforce issues, ensure policy and legal compliance. You will collaborate with the Regional HR Manager to adapt global programs locally. As a versatile generalist, you will have a meaningful impact daily operations.

You will collaborate with the Regional HR Manager to adapt global programs locally. As a versatile generalist, you will have a meaningful impact daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and advisory support to managers on labour relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and adherence to company guidelines, ensuring consistent and compliant application of policies and fostering positive employee relations.
- Participate in the hiring process by documenting job descriptions, screening candidates, join the interview panels, provide guidance and tools to hiring managers in selecting the appropriate talent.
- Conduct workplace investigations into employee complaints or incidents, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, with the ability to provide recommendations with corrective measures and document accordingly.
- Coordinate and support the grievance process, from case intake to supporting the business in responding timely according to the parameters of the collective agreements. Participate in Joint Labour Committees as needed
- Refine the onboarding experience through partnerships with our centers of excellence by developing, maintaining and delivering pertinent content to new hires.
- Enforce policy and regulatory compliance, and act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on benefits and corporate programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may include additional responsibilities beyond the core scope of the role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Seeking a resilient professional for a fast-paced environment, demonstrating autonomy, adaptability, and priority shifting.
- Experience in working with Federally regulated workplaces covered under the Canada Labour Code.
- Ability to advise on employee relations in non-unionized contexts, ensuring fair policy application.
- Skilled at building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Continuous improvement mindset, able to identify and implement efficiency measures independently.
- Mastery of HR and labor relations best practices, with the ability to apply these concepts from theory to practice.
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Education and Work Experience
- The ideal candidate will hold a college-level diploma in human resources combined with 2 to 5 years of prior work experience, preferably in a global company. Equivalent combination of education and experience in the manufacturing industry will be strongly considered.
- Certified Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). Training and certification in conflict resolution will be considered a major asset.
Additional Information
- This role requires to be on site 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday with the capacity to respond to occasional after-hours emergency requests.
- Must be travel-ready, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel by air. Occasional travel to out-of-province locations may also be required.
- It will be necessary for certain projects to accommodate the availability of our colleagues located in other time zones.
