Discovery Institute is looking for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our healthcare team at a substance use treatment center and detox unit. The ideal candidate will deliver advanced nursing care for patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders, working closely with a diverse healthcare team.


Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license

- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

- Thorough grasp of psychiatric and substance use disorders and their treatment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities


Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive psychiatric and substance use evaluations and assessments

- Develop and implement integrated treatment plans tailored to individual needs

- Prescribe medications for psychiatric and substance use disorders, overseeing their efficacy

- Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to offer holistic care

- Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health and substance use disorder management

- Maintain precise and current patient records to ensure seamless care coordination
