     Psychological Examiner

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Psychological Examiner is responsible for conducting psychoeducational evaluations and supporting the identification and placement of students with disabilities. This position works collaboratively with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs, interpret data, and provide recommendations that support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. 

     

    Essential Functions

    • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools
    • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
    • Prepare written evaluation reports with clear, data-based recommendations
    • Participate in eligibility determination meetings and IEP team meetings
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student needs
    • Assist in developing appropriate interventions, accommodations, and behavior supports
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
    • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and other applicable laws and regulations
    • Provide consultation to staff and parents regarding student learning and behavioral needs
    • Maintain confidentiality of student records and evaluation data
    • Stay current with best practices, assessment tools, and legal requirements
    • Perform other duties as assigned by administration
    • Maintain professionalism with staff members.
    • Report to the proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
    • Adhere to all policies of the District.

     

    SKILLS & ABILITIES            

            Education:    Master's degree in School Psychology or Educational Psychology 

     

    Experience: Previous experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred Experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs preferred

     

            Computer Skills: Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency 

                                    with computers and programs associated with the position.                                                        

              Certifications & Licenses: Current Arkansas Psychological Examiner License   

     

    Other Requirements: 

    1. Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
