How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As an 525 Kansas Maintenance Supervisor, you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for supervising the maintenance, safety and repair of machinery, plant equipment, and tools used in production processes, including conducting periodic maintenance checks, planning equipment upgrades and machinery modifications, identifying faults, and investigating and repairing equipment breakdowns of assigned business unit. Monitors the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out. Coordinates maintenance team’s work across all shifts. Acts as a central point of contact regarding maintenance/electrical issues. Ensures maintenance team is trained, equipped, and motivated. Works with maintenance team to accomplish tasks safely, timely, and in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for maintenance across all three shifts.
- Ensures all safety programs and procedures are followed, accepted and endorsed by the entire department.
- Works with cross- functional team to ensure safety programs and audits are completed in compliance with company standards.
- Provides leadership guidance and mentoring to ensure work practices are followed (such as safety, preventive maintenance and equipment repair processes).
- Manages labor resources to ensure efficient support of warehouse and production goals.
- Initiates, implements and manages the business unit’s maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning, scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance.
- Repairs on site machinery and if necessary, arranges for replacement machinery in a timely and efficient manner
- As assigned, collaborates with business unit leadership team to coordinate support of projects, goals and deadlines.
- Establishes and monitors programs for machinery and equipment analysis, vibration and other condition-monitoring techniques. Calibrates instruments. Monitors new technology and performance indicators for machine efficiency and optimal performance
- Plans and writes capital expenditure requests for maintenance-based projects.
- Identifies mechanical deficiencies and records data for accurate analysis.
- Creates equipment standardization and ensures appropriate parts inventory. Maintains the maintenance shop and equipment.
- Optimizes maintenance strategies by developing standard operating procedures, implementing preventative
- maintenance programs and assisting with decisions related to equipment purchases.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred
- Minimum of three years of successful management of teams in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
In this role, you may be required to use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials such as; metal working fluids, alcohol, waste oil and other routine industrial chemicals. Safety Data Sheets are available for all materials in which you may be exposed.
