Primary Purpose:
Under minor supervision, inspects, analyzes and repairs all Alvin ISD fleet and heavy-duty vehicles including buses, gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, acts as Team Leader assigns duties to other mechanic when Shop Foreman is not available.
           
Qualifications:
 
            Education/Certification:
            High School Diploma or GED
            Technical School Preferred
            ASE Certification Preferred
 
            Special Knowledge/Skills:
            Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
            Hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver)
            Power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill pneumatic hammer)
            Vehicles (e.g. automobile, truck, tractor, forklift)

 Must Obtain a Class B CDL with passenger and School Bus Endorsement within 90 days from time of hire.
 Maintains TEA Certification
 Propane repair/system Certification
 State Vehicle Inspection Certification
 Ability to read and understand English A/C recovery Certification
 

Experience:
