Based in Chicago Heights, IL, Nufarm is looking for a dynamic and energetic Inventory Controller Coordinator responsible for overseeing all the inventory activities related to the consumption of raw materials and production ensuring that the site has accurate inventories and minimal material variances associated with posting production. Primary duty to review batch and pack order variances daily and ensure clean and accurate transactions. This role will also be involved with all aspects to record and measure inventories, including leading cycle counts and physical inventories at the site.  Additionally, this role will serve as a back up to the material analyst roles, ensuring coverage as needed.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Ensures all consumptions are completed accurately and variances resolved in a timely manner, and for month end. 
  • Daily reviews Tableau Batch Variances and provides reason for production variances. Example: re-work, intentional material substitution, etc..  
  • Defines opportunities and gains alignment with stakeholders and implements process improvements for batch/pack orders to minimize future variances.
  • Weekly reconciliations of both raw material and finished good bulk tank storage.
  • Serves as additional support to back up the material analyst role as needed to ensure coverage.
  • Report weekly material batch &/or pack variance metrics and continuous improvements initiatives.
  • Leads daily cycle count process and facilitates daily counts for all CH inventories.    Submits and processes inventory adjustments as needed; after fully vetting causes to ensure correct entry.    
  • Leads on-site physical inventory(s) (cradle to grave) and the coordination with all cross functional teams.
  • Resolves inventory accuracy issues for all CH (in addition to cycle/monthly counting). 
  • Initiates inventory continuous improvement actions and drives process improvements.
  • Reports monthly/cycle count accuracy & Physical Inventories.

 

What do you bring?

 

You hold a bachelor’s degree with 5 years Materials/Inventory or accounting experience in a plant/warehouse setting along with previous experience transacting inventory for production variances in a process (non-discrete) environment. Ideally have someone familiar with materials related transactions preferably in Oracle (or SAP/ other ERP system) for Shipping, Receiving, & posting Production and being able to lead continuous improvements to reduce variances associated with consuming & posting production.

 

What do we offer?

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $80,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

At Nufarm, we believe in total compensation. Depending on the position, additional forms of compensation may be included as part of a comprehensive package, alongside a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
