    Part-Time MTSS Coordinator

    Reports To: Director of Academics

    Job Summary: The Part-Time MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the MTSS framework and supporting the academic growth and development of students. This role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to ensure the implementation of  effective instructional strategies, interventions, and supports that meet the diverse needs of students.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. MTSS Coordination:
      • Coordinate the implementation and sustainability of the District MTSS framework within the school
      • Maintain district level MTSS procedures and protocols within the school
      • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of MTSS interventions and supports
      • Collaborate with teachers to identify students in need of additional support and develop intervention plans
      • Assist in the development and implementation of differentiated instruction strategies
      • Facilitate data collection, analysis, and data-driven decision-making processes
      • Help teachers analyze student data to identify areas of need and adjust instruction accordingly
      • Promote the use of evidence-based instructional strategies and resources
      • Provide professional development and training to staff on MTSS practices and procedures

     

    1. Collaboration and Communication:
      • Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and other staff to support a positive and inclusive learning environment
      • Facilitate MTSS/RTI team meetings at the school and/or district level
      • Communicate regularly with administrators and teachers regarding student progress and interventions
      • Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and other collaborative efforts

     

          3. Compliance & Documentation

    • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines related to intervention and student support
    • Maintain accurate documentation for MTSS processes and student interventions
    • Support schools in maintaining audit-ready records aligned to Mississippi accreditation expectations

        4.  Professional Development:

    • Stay current with best practices in MTSS, data analyzation, and  instructional strategies
    • Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions
    • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
    • Valid Mississippi Department of Education educator license
    • Minimum of 3�5 years of successful teaching experience
    • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
    • Strong understanding of the MTSS framework 
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
    • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instruction and intervention planning
    • Experience in providing professional development

    Preferred

    • Experience with MTSS/RTI implementation
    • Background in instructional coaching, intervention, or data analysis
    • Leadership or administrative experience

    • Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative teams

    • Part-time position (up to 20 hours per week)
