Spanish preferred. Strong Excel skills and MS Office. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to teach concepts, think strategically, and improve systems.

Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for more than 85 years. We have divisions in Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties in Ohio and are looking for a Strategic Improvement Manager to join our team.

 

The overall objective of this role is to increase the bottom line of all divisions across the company through strategic improvements focusing on eliminating waste, increasing teamwork, and building leadership expertise.

 

LOCATION: Work with any division

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday

STARTING RATE: Commensurate with experience

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

 

Job Functions:

  • Facilitate Master Business Planning and KPI Goal setting in a way that builds commitment, teamwork, and skill in leaders along the way
  • Work across Cooper Farms divisions in leading teams to find ways to optimize systems, processes, and procedures and to increase capacity, improve quality, and/or better procedures to keep Team Members safe.
  • Organize and coordinate time studies, design experiments, Root Cause Analysis and After-Action Reviews. Lead those efforts in a way that builds capacity in others to complete them in the future with excellence across the company.
  • Review metrics and reports across the company and work with the metric owners to simplify and standardize reports.
