Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the I/DD field.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Driver’s License: A valid and clean New York State driver’s license is required.
  • Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Daily standing, bending and lifting
  • Smartphone required

Paid Time Off:

  • Up to 80 hours of vacation during the first calendar year of employment. Employees accrue an additional 8 vacation hours each subsequent calendar year, up to a maximum of 120 hours.

Pay: $23.00/hr.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in the daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, agency policies, and quality programs.
  • Oversee individuals' personal allowances, bank accounts, and financial records.
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Promote the health, well-being, and personal choice of individuals.
  • Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of all assigned direct care staff.
  • Assist the manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules.
  • Oversee all program documentation.
  • Perform duties of a direct support professional as needed.
  • Complete incident reports as required.
  • Proactively communicate with families to provide updates on the individuals within the residence

Work Location: Glen Cove, NY and Westbury, NY

Work Hours/Schedule:
Full-Time (40 hours per week)

  • Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
