Athletic Director
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Three to five years of experience in high school athletic administration
- Knowledge of Michigan High School Athletics Association rules and regulations, and a commitment to following them
- Knowledge of Title IX rules and regulations
- An ability to plan, organize, and supervise all athletic programs comprised of multiple coaches and multiple athletic teams
- A leadership style that will generate trust, confidence, and enthusiasm among students, staff members, and parents
- A commitment to high expectations for self, students, and staff
- A commitment to the purpose of education-based athletics
- Integrity, poise, and the ability to clearly articulate information and ideas verbally and in writing
- Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts
- A strong and proven work ethic
- This position requires regular and reliable in-person attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Sports Administration
- Michigan School Administrator certification or NIAAA certification
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level. Varsity head coaching experience preferred
- Experience in mentoring and evaluation of coaches
