Position Overview
The Automatic Exchange of Information (‘AEOI’) Team is seeking a FATCA Manager who will be responsible for managing the Manila based AEOI team. Reporting to the Executive Vice President (AEOI) in Toronto, the AEOI Manager will be responsible for coordinating the elements AEOI services designated to the Manila team, including management and oversight of the AEOI documentation processing workflows, completion of annual regulatory deliverables, team training, documenting operational policies & procedures, and other relevant ongoing support to our global AEOI client base.
A varied multi-tasking role which encompasses team and stakeholder relationship management & communication, investor communication, strong and effective process understanding & management combined with all relevant and associated administration.
Main Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and coaching of the Manila AEOI Team.
- Lead and mentor team members while providing guidance in accomplishing department goals.
- Create and maintain acceptable service levels for key areas of responsibility.
- Create an environment of co-operation and initiative through appropriate delegation, empowerment, training and motivation.
- Anticipate and resolve work problems and exercise sound judgment to make appropriate decisions.
- Contribute to the roll out and success of any FATCA/AEOI initiatives, working closely with colleagues in Singapore, Dublin and in Toronto
- Assess areas of risk on the team and within the department and implement processes to address these areas of concern.
- Identify opportunities to enhance technology and automate procedures to limit or eliminate manual processes.
- Assist in the developing a global forum dedicated to sharing best practices and improving processing standards as it relates to the FATCA/AEOI Team.
- Ensure that service level agreements within the FATCA ECM workflow are met.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation and completion of annual FATCA/CRS Filings.
- Liaise and communicate with Local Office Teams and Investors on documentation status and requirements.
Key Requirements
- Degree qualified (preferably in a discipline relevant to Financial Services)
- 4 +years experience in Financial Services, with exposure to FATCA & CRS regulations an advantage
- Proven strong client relationship skills
- Proven experience managing multiple projects / deliverables; excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Results driven and self-motivated
- Ability to work in global teams and adapt to different communication styles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
