TITLE:
Breader Operator
SAFETY DUTIES:
Wear proper personal protective equipment such as earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses, and smock. Keep hands from moving parts. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep assigned area clean orderly. Report any accidents, unsafe equipment or area to the line leader or supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BREADER OPERATOR:
Responsible for ensuring breading machines are consistently filled with flour by lifting bags of breading into the machine, operating controls, and tending to the machines to maintain smooth operation. Additionally, this role involves producing safe, legal, and authentic products that meet the customer's quality expectations. The position requires supporting, implementing, and helping to maintain and improve all Quality Management programs and procedures. Furthermore, the role includes implementing, improving, and enforcing all programs and procedures related to BRC compliance. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area and properly disposing of empty breading bags.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Employees will clock in at the time clock. Pick up materials from the supply room. Put on the appropriate
personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, smock. Wash hands properly before wearing
gloves on both hands to begin working in the production area. Follow the instructions of the line leader or
supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee will walk/stand 100% of the time. Reaching, bending and twisting 100% of the time. Always requires lifting of 40 to 70 lbs. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times.
ENVIRONMENT:
Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40° to 50° degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. The work area surface is wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.
EDUCATION:
Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor.
