Lexington County School District One (Lexington, SC) seeks to hire multiple Elementary School Multi-lingual Learner Program Teachers. Must have U.S. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field, or its equivalent. This position also requires a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization and fluency in English. Duties: (i) instruct English language learners at the elementary school level (Grades 1-5) in academic and social skills to ensure that individual student needs, interests, and abilities are met; (ii) assist classroom teachers by modifying instructional tasks as appropriate and communicating required accommodations; (iii) develop an appropriate individualized learning plan with each student to include language goals for the year; and (iv) perform other duties as assigned including tutoring elementary school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties. Position may transfer to a different building within the district's metro- statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of the district.
