Job Description

ABOUT MFUSED

Mfused is a high-growth cannabis manufacturing company built by operators, not spectators. We design, produce, and scale cannabis products in one of the most competitive and regulated industries in the United States.

We measure marketing by outcomes, not effort. Impressions, clicks, and engagement only matter if they translate into demand, sell-through, and incremental revenue above baseline sales. Digital marketing at Mfused is expected to perform, evolve, and justify its investment.

This role exists because digital should be one of the most measurable, controllable, and scalable growth levers in the business.

Mfused is not a finished product. It is a company in motion.

THE ROLE

The Digital Marketing Strategist owns the performance of Mfused’s digital marketing ecosystem.

This is not a single-channel or execution-only role. This is a strategic, hands-on position responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing digital programs across all platforms that influence purchase behavior and revenue.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will translate commercial priorities into digital strategy, oversee execution across paid, organic, social, advertising, lifecycle, and on-site digital experiences, and continuously optimize performance based on data. You will be expected to understand how digital activity influences demand, conversion, velocity, and sell-through in real markets.

If digital investment does not generate measurable revenue lift, the work is not done.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Digital Strategy and Revenue Impact

  • ·       Develop and execute digital marketing strategies aligned to commercial goals, launches, promotions, and revenue targets.
  • ·       Ensure digital initiatives generate incremental lift beyond expected baseline sales.
  • ·       Support campaign forecasting and performance planning tied to seasonal demand, product launches, and retail priorities.
  • ·       Translate business objectives into measurable digital programs with clear success metrics.

Paid, Organic, and Platform Performance

  • ·       Own performance across all digital platforms, including paid and organic social media, digital advertising, search, display, on-site experiences, email, and emerging digital retail touchpoints.
  • ·       Continuously test, optimize, and scale campaigns based on performance data.
  • ·       Navigate platform restrictions and regulatory constraints common to cannabis marketing while still driving compliant performance.
  • ·       Ensure digital execution amplifies physical touchpoints such as in-store signage, promotions, and field activity through integrated digital strategy.

Email Marketing and Lifecycle Campaigns

  • ·       Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of email and lifecycle marketing campaigns designed to drive measurable sales lift.
  • ·       Segment audiences based on demographics, behavior, geography, and purchase patterns to ensure relevance and impact.
  • ·       Design targeted campaigns tied to product launches, promotions, retail activity, and seasonal demand.
  • ·       Test subject lines, creative, timing, and messaging to improve open rates, click-through rates, conversion, and downstream revenue.

Conversion Rate Optimization and User Experience

  • ·       Own conversion strategy across landing pages, websites, and digital touchpoints.
  • ·       Design and execute A/B tests to improve conversion rates and user flow.
  • ·       Partner with creative and web resources to ensure digital experiences support clarity, trust, and action.

Analytics, Attribution, and Reporting

  • ·       Track digital and lifecycle performance using analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
    • Connect digital metrics to business outcomes, not just marketing KPIs.
  • ·       Clearly communicate performance insights and recommendations to marketing leadership, sales, and cross-functional partners.
  • ·       Challenge assumptions and adjust strategy based on what the data shows.

Audience, Demographics, and Targeting

  • ·       Use demographic, behavioral, and performance data to refine targeting and segmentation across all digital channels.
  • ·       Ensure digital strategy reflects how real consumers discover, evaluate, and purchase products.
  • ·       Continuously improve relevance, efficiency, and conversion through smarter audience strategy.

Budget Ownership and Efficiency

  • ·       Own digital channel budget allocation and efficiency.
  • ·       Continuously optimize spend toward the highest-return opportunities.
  • ·       Identify opportunities to scale winning programs and reduce or eliminate low-return activity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Execution

  • ·       Partner with the Director of Marketing, creative teams, field marketing, and sales to align digital efforts with broader campaigns and launches.
  • ·       Ensure digital execution supports retail initiatives, promotions, and brand priorities.
  • ·       Operate with a strong internal customer service mindset, managing expectations and delivering on commitments.

Operating Discipline and Continuous Improvement

  • ·       Manage digital initiatives with structure, prioritization, and urgency.
  • ·       Hit deadlines, communicate proactively, and respond quickly to performance changes.
  • ·       Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scale what works, and stop what does not.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a performance-driven digital marketer with a commercial mindset. You care about data, but you care more about what the data means for the business.

You are comfortable owning results, explaining strategy to non-marketers, and adjusting course when reality disagrees with assumptions. You are organized, proactive, and disciplined in execution.

You believe digital marketing earns its seat at the table by driving revenue.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • ·       5+ years of experience in digital or performance marketing.
  • ·       Hands-on experience managing multi-channel digital programs, including paid media, organic social, digital advertising, email, and conversion optimization.
  • ·       Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect digital performance to revenue outcomes.
  • ·       Experience with testing, analytics, and attribution frameworks.
  • ·       Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional partners and leadership.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • ·       Experience in cannabis, consumer packaged goods, or other regulated industries.
  • ·       Experience navigating advertising and platform constraints.
  • ·       Background in performance marketing, growth marketing, or sales enablement.
  • ·       Experience working in fast-paced, results-driven environments where priorities evolve quickly.
  •

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • ·       This role is based full time at Mfused’s corporate headquarters.
  • ·       Regular collaboration with marketing, sales, and leadership teams is required.
  • ·       The position involves extended periods of computer use, analysis, and campaign management.
  • ·       Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Mfused is committed to maintaining a workplace built on respect, accountability, and equal opportunity.
