Job Description

Position Summary:

The Robotic Welding Technician’s role is to program, set up and operate the robotic welding machines. They collaborate with the engineering and the fabrication team to plan, execute, and refine welding projects. are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines, specifically Fanuc, Motoman, OTC Robots and Cobots
  • Develop and optimize welding programs and parameters to maximize efficiency and product quality
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals, symbols, and blueprints
  • Create robotic welding programs, modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of robotic equipment and welding equipment
  • Collaborate with the engineering and fabrication teams to plan, execute, and refine welding projects
  • Check TCP on all robots at the start of the shift
  • Work with and help train robot operators
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to hand MIG weld as needed
