Purpose:
To provide administrative support to the registrar’s office of a statewide online program. The Registrar Generalist collaborates with other GOAL staff, reports to GOAL’s Senior Registrar Manager, and abides by and supports the vision, mission, values, policies, procedures of GOAL, and relevant state policies and regulations.

Registrar Support

Ensure the quality control of legal and school paperwork for entering and exiting students.

Supports the Senior Registrar Manager with collaborative plans, coordination, and oversite of the GOAL student record management.

Recommend changes in record processes and policies when such changes serve the best interests of students and the organization.
-
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, parents, and GOAL staff to enhance the instructional environment. Escalate registration issues in a timely manner.
-
Act as a liaison between sites and state/regional support in matters pertaining to enrollment and records.
-
Maintain accurate transcripts for all students past and present. Work with site level counselors to ensure records are accurate.
-
Provide customer service related to transcripts and records along with general communication to all staff, visiting guests, parents, and students. Answer questions politely, appropriately, and professionally in person, over the phone, or electronically.

Maintain a high level of communication (both verbally and in writing) with other GOAL staff, students, and parents to deliver program information and address individual student needs.

Provide and send all outgoing student records requests.

Run, sign, seal and send official senior transcripts to colleges for admissions.
-
Comply with confidentiality requirements and guidelines in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Process exit paperwork, prepare graduation documents (diplomas and official transcripts), and archive records accurately and efficiently.

Obtain State Student Identification Numbers (SASIDs) for incoming students.

Support the Enrollment department through cross-training.
-
Assist in student recruiting and retention.

Assist in department training.

Maintain a working knowledge of programs and services used to communicate with stakeholders.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must possess a valid Driver's License

Must reside in Colorado.
Education:
-
High School Diploma required.
-
Associates preferred or three years’ experience in a related field, which demonstrates organizational skills, critical thinking, and excellent customer service.
Experience:
-
Three years of administrative, secretarial, or records management experience required.
-
Experience in educational settings is preferred.
-
Experience with multicultural and/or at-risk students, alternative programming, and online education preferred.
Or other background demonstrating application of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
-
Trained in a variety of software programs (e.g., databases, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office, Teams, Publisher)
-
Solid background using oral and written communication skills for internal and external customers.
-
History in positions where a high degree of English language skills are necessary. Ability to communicate in bi-lingual situations a plus.

Show experience in positions requiring interpersonal relations, diffusing/managing stressful situations, and exhibiting skills needed for conflict resolution.

Operate at a minimum on a proficient level regarding standard office equipment and office programs requiring frequent use of spreadsheets, word documents, Internet, and databases.

Can apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills with little or no supervision.

Demonstrated history of positions requiring a high degree of organizational skills, managing multiple priorities/tasks with frequent interruptions, and maintaining confidentiality.
