WHAT YOU WILL DO
This role plays a part in the newly formed Industrial Automation & Controls (IA&C) service line. Our mission is to obtain recognition within our targeted industry verticals as a premier OT services provider including device level, control layer, and SCADA integrated services. As an IA&C Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that solves complex problems with innovative and long-lasting solutions for our clients.
This role is responsible for building out SCADA solutions primarily utilizing Inductive Automation’s (IA) Ignition platform. As the SCADA landscape evolves it is expected that other platforms may be leveraged to provide our clients with the best solution to meet their needs.

Ability to task-switch between 3+ concurrent projects effectively

Demonstrates professional maturity, including the ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
Comfortable participating in customer-facing meetings
Ability to travel up to 20% and support up to 2 weeks on-site during commissioning periods

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE
Required Technical Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI platforms including IA’s Ignition platform
Ignition Core Certification
Vision and Perspective module experience, including responsive multi-device screen design
Reporting module experience
Strong scripting skills within and outside Ignition
Understanding of common industrial control schemes, including ability to read PLC logic:
Ladder Logic
Sequential Function Charts (SFC)
Structured Text
Function Block Diagrams
Experience with SCADA migrations to Ignition (e.g., Wonderware, iFIX, ICONICS, FactoryTalk View)
Ability to produce clear, detailed technical documentation for system design and implementation
Database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Working knowledge of IT/OT infrastructure and troubleshooting concepts
Preferred Technical Experience:
PLC programming experience
Prior development experience in other SCADA platforms (Wonderware, iFIX, ICONICS, FactoryTalk View, etc.)
Ignition Gold Certification
REST/Web API integration experience (GET/POST, etc.)
Experience with Ignition WebDev module
MQTT experience, including platforms such as HiveMQ and CirrusLink
Middleware integration experience, including understanding of where it fits in architecture and how to implement (e.g., Kepware, Boomi)
Alarm notification pipeline design and implementation
Data historian systems (OSIsoft PI, Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian, etc.)
Experience with Docker and Git, and contributing to shared codebases/frameworks in an Agile/Scrum environment
