Job Description

Do you enjoy figuring out how things work, fixing equipment, and helping customers solve problems? Murray Equipment is looking for a mechanically inclined, customer-service-focused Service & Assembly Technician to support inspection, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing of liquid handling and metering equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Automotive technicians, diesel mechanics, maintenance technicians, service advisors, and mechanically inclined problem-solvers are strongly encouraged to apply.


What You’ll Work On

You’ll be servicing and supporting equipment such as:

  • Pumps, motors, and fluid handling systems 
  • Flow meters and electronic registers 
  • Valves, fittings, and assemblies 
  • Industrial and agricultural liquid handling equipment 


What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoots returned equipment and determine repair or warranty status 
  • Inspects products, identify issues, and document findings 
  • Prepares repair estimates and communicate with customers 
  • Pulls parts and complete repairs using hand and power tools 
  • Performs assembly, testing, calibration, and final verification 
  • Uses precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) 
  • Records labor, parts, and service details in internal systems 
  • Provides customer support, troubleshooting, and product guidance 
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment 
  • Assists with shipping, receiving, and light fabrication/assembly as needed

  • Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and diagnostic processes 
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents 
  • Prior mechanical, industrial, automotive, or equipment repair experience required 
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and be on your feet most of the day

1st shift Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch. OT as needed.
