Show Dresser/Costume Technician- Seasonal

Step into the magic behind the scenes! As a Show Dress/Costume Technician, you help bring Worlds of Fun to life by keeping all show and atmosphere costumes performance‑ready. You'll assist performers with dressing, tackle quick fixes and costume surprises, and make sure everyone looks amazing before stepping into the spotlight-all while staying cool, calm, and professional. If you love creativity, teamwork, and a little backstage excitement, this is your show!

What You'll Do
- Completes pre-show and pre-set of costumes prior to each show.
- Identifies costume repairs as needed and transports garments to a seamstress if the repair requires immediate attention.
- Completes hand sew and small repairs between shows. Retrieves, hangs and transports laundry and dry cleaning daily, per schedule or as needed.
- Facilitates and assists performers with all costume changes in a calm and professional manner.
- Maintains dressing room and bathroom cleanliness.
- Provides guest service according to Worlds of Fun standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Worlds of Fun Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Worlds of Fun's attendance requirements as outlined in Enchanted Parks' attendance policies.
- Adheres to Worlds of Fun's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by leadership
What We're Looking For
- Minimum age: 16
- Ability to hand sew buttons, snaps, Velcro, small tears, etc
- Ability to work with hand tools
- Ability to work with machinery/equipment
- Ability to see flaws in costumes
- Ability to work in tight working areas such as booths, file rooms, storage areas, etc.
- Ability to understand English at a level sufficient to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather
- Strong teamwork skills and professional behavior
- Perform these job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Other Duties
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support park operations.
