Seasonal Administrative Specialist (40 hours/week)

Location: Syracuse, New York- Armory Square, Downtown � 333 West Washington Street.

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: Our normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. Must be available to work some nights and weekends during our Busy Season. This opportunity will allow for flexibility in your hours.

On-site: This is an in -office position

Position Overview!

Bowers Accountants & Advisors is hiring a Seasonal Administrative Specialist to join our team for the 2026 Tax season. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive Admin Team and a growing public accounting firm.

As part of our administrative team, you�ll support day-to-day office operations and assist our professionals during the tax season. This hands-on experience offers valuable insight into client service, workflow coordination, and the inner workings of a dynamic CPA firm.

What You�ll Do:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to our tax and accounting teams.
  • Answer phones, when necessary, as a back-up to the front desk
  • Distribute incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Scan and bind documents.
  • Schedule meetings
  • Other administrative tasks and duties assigned.
  • Processing Tax returns along with other Tax and Audit documents

What We�re Looking For:

  • Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week in the office through April 2026.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in an administrative support role
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask while working independently and as a team.
  • A high level of professionalism and handling of confidential information is required
