Description

The Appleton YMCA and Fox West YMCA are hiring Summer Aquatics Specialists. Specialists enjoy being hands-on and working closely with their team & Y members. As a Specialist, you'll be introduced to the various leadership skills, such as training, program development and staffing. Teach and share your love of aquatics with participants of all ages & abilities. Supervise aquatics instructors, including training and ongoing education. Provide additional support to the Aquatics Director & Coordinator.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with a strong career path into the YMCA, ideal for those with previous pool, swim &/or aquatics experience.

Requirements

• Currently certified in CPR & First Aid for the Professional Rescuer.
• Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Instructor is preferred, but not required.
• Certified as a YMCA Progressive and/or Preschool Instructor, and/or WSI preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience of teaching aquatic programs for all ages and levels is preferred.
