Registered Dietitian

Job Summary

Tampico Healthcare Center, a 128-bed skilled nursing rehabilitation center located in Walnut Creek, California, is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team. Our commitment to providing the highest standard of skilled nursing and rehab care to our patients is reflected in our state-of-the-art facilities and expert clinicians. As a Registered Dietitian with our center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients with various medical conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, heart disease, and obesity

  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans based on patient needs and preferences

  • Conduct nutrition assessments and screenings

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery

  • Monitor and document patient progress

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Registered and/or licensed Dietitian, as required by the state of employment

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a consulting dietitian preferred; experience with geriatric population is preferred

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language

  • Verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy

  • Specific education/vocational requirements:

    • Dietitian, registered and/or licensed, as required by the state of employment

    • Previous experience in a health care setting or previous experience as a consulting dietitian preferred. Experience with geriatric population is preferred.

    • This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.

    • Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site if required.

  • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to the department and facility

  • Basic computer skills

Work Schedule

  • Part-time, 3 days/week
