    Position:  Secretarial Staff

     

    Qualifications:  

    1. Education Level: A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
    2. Certification: None required

    4. Other Requirements: Skills of the successful performance of the tasks assigned. Must submit and pass background check

     

    General Summary:  School secretarial staff support daily office operations by communicating effectively with students, staff, parents, and the public while maintaining accurate records and utilizing essential computer and office skills. They manage tasks efficiently, demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality, and complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and organized manner.

     

    Performance Responsibilities:

    1. Demonstrates appropriate voice quality, greeting procedures, and effective routing techniques
    2. Demonstrates effective listening skills
    3. Communicates effectively with staff, parents and general public in order to provide information
    4. Utilizes computer program skills effectively
    5. Maintains current knowledge and application of job related equipment
    6. Is dependable and self-motivated
    7. Initiates tasks when appropriate
    8. Demonstrates ability to work independently and with coworkers
    9. Performs functions assigned by supervisors in an effective and timely manner
    10. Demonstrates current knowledge of business grammar, terminology and proper formatting
    11. Maintains accurate and efficient records
    12. Follows legal accounting guidelines
    13. Maintain confidential nature of all school-related matters
    14. Other duties assigned by the Superintendent or designee
