Job Description

Perry County School District No. 32 is seeking a High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.


 


JOB DESCRIPTION


Under direction, to teach and instruct pupils in grades 9 through 12 in secondary academic subject matter, social, behavioral, and other educational skill areas; to plan, develop, organize, and conduct a comprehensive educational program for secondary level pupils; to assist upper secondary level pupils in making appropriate lifestyle adjustments, and in the determination of career and vocational choices; and to do other related functions as required.


 


SALARY RANGE


Starting at $41,000.00 (based on a Bachelor’s Degree)



  • New employees receive credit for previous FULL years of verified experience in appropriate experience related to the area in which they will work.

  • Current District 32 salary schedules.


 


WORK SCHEDULE


This position works 7.75 hours per day, Monday - Friday following the school calendar and including scheduled professional development days.

Certified 9-month employees at Perry County School District 32 receive the following benefits:



  • The district pays up to $650.00 per month for the employee’s medical insurance, which begins on the first day of the month following the official employment date. Vision, dental, and life insurance are optional and at employee expense. 

  • District-paid $10,000.00 life insurance policy.

  • Paid leave: 8 sick days and unused sick leave will be cumulative to 180 days, with a maximum carryover of 172 days; 4 personal days that do not carryover, but are added to the annual sick leave and then qualify for accumulation.

  • Excellent retirement package, with District-matched 14.5% contribution to PSRS.
