Job Description

The Front Desk Receptionist will ensure that clients, staff, and visitors are welcomed, provided proper security credentials, and directed to the appropriate TVCCA program. She/He will maintain ongoing communication with individual programs to ensure the check-in process remains effective and responsive. The Front Desk Receptionist will function in a high volume environment and must possess the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy, tact, and in a culturally competent manner.  This individual will act as the main switchboard operator for the Uncas on the Thames office, and will be responsible for in/outgoing mail, fax operation, building access, deliveries, and various clerical duties to assist TVCCA programs. Applicant must demonstrate strong computer skills.

Associates Degree plus one year related experience or High School diploma plus 3 years of experience in greeting the public and managing client flow. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well organized with the ability to handle multiple functions in a busy, dynamic social service setting. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Access, Publisher). Available to work late one evening per week. Bi-lingual preferred.
