Washington Local Schools is looking for high quality substitute teachers throughout the year.

1. Ohio requires substitute teachers to have a minimum of a bachelors degree.  Exceptions may occur in specialized areas such as cosmetology, welding, automotive technology and other career skill areas.
2. A teaching degree is preferred (Ohio or out-of-state).  If you completed your student teaching, and are waiting to complete your final credits or state tests, indicate that your license is "anticipated" and provide the details.
3. List at least two references who have seen you teach and/or work with youth and be sure to include their current email address and telephone contacts.
4. Upload letters of recommendation, copies of performance evaluations or student teaching evaluations, if relevant and available.
5. Candidates who do not have an Ohio teaching license may apply for a substitute teacher license after we contact you to sub.  The cost for a license is $25 a year.
6.
