Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


 


As Internship Coordinator:



  • Assess students’ strengths and goals through individual meetings as a prerequisite for internship participation.

  • Build and maintain business partnerships within a 20-minute radius to support internship placements.

  • Coordinate all internship placements, documentation, insurance requirements, and background checks.

  • Oversee key career-pathway events, including the Good Samaritan Hospital onboarding session for medical students.

  • Monitor and support 35 active interns each semester while preparing placements for an additional 35 future interns.

  • Track student progress toward required internship hours and conduct mid-term and final evaluations with site supervisors.

  • Collaborate with counselors and the registrar on scheduling, records, career fairs, campus visits, and Decision Day.

  • Provide all required internship reports, transcript information, and end-of-semester correspondence to maintain partnerships and compliance.


As a Faculty Member:



  • Teaches 2-3 sections of College & Career Readiness, Passion Project, and/or other classes as assigned each semester.

  • Manage and maintain up-to-date Canvas shells and gradebook

  • Works collegially in teams in ways that foster professional collaboration and exchange.

  • Is readily available to students for extra help and guidance outside of class.

  • Complete all required tasks in a timely manner per school operating policies and procedures.


 


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools’ Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements

  • A Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action

  • Washington State certification or meets requirements consistent with Chapter 180-90 WAC

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred

  • At least 3 years of experience of networking and in a leadership/managerial role.

  • At least 3 years of teaching experience are preferred. Possessing a robust and broad network of business professionals is desirable

  • Background Check Clearance

  • CPR Certified or willingness to become certified

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all constituent groups

  • Ability to establish meaningful relationships with community members

  • Ability to network at a variety of key community events to develop new and strengthen ongoing partnerships, including bi-annual Impact Leadership Business Summit breakfast (Oct & Feb)

  • Ability to establish meaningful relationships with students in ways that foster the development of the whole child

  • Ability to perform position responsibilities in ways that ensure a respectful, inclusive, and equitable learning and work environment for all members of our diverse school community

  • Ability to work with faculty in ways that nurture professional collaboration, exchange, and growth

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to design and implement an innovative, engaging, and age-appropriate curriculum in the content area

  • Ability to employ a broad range of instructional strategies to address the varying needs of students

  • Ability to use technology creatively and effectively to enhance teaching and learning, and administrative responsibilities


WORK HOURS:


Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:15 am - 3:15 pm

SALARY RANGE: 


$42,686 through $57,895, depending on qualifications
