Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of
Head Girls Tennis Coach.
A Coach is responsible for overseeing the development and success of student-athletes or participants in a specific athletic or activity program. This role includes planning and conducting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Requirements
Must have MSHSL Head Coaching Certificate Must have a thorough understanding of MSHSL rules/policies as well as District Policies & Guidelines. Ability to work with varied levels of skill and talent. Must have great communication skills. Knowledge of safety protocols, injury prevention, and first aid, with a commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all participants. Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development. Availability to attend practices, games, and other team-related events, including evenings and weekends as required. |

A Coach is responsible for overseeing the development and success of student-athletes or participants in a specific athletic or activity program. This role includes planning and conducting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. The Coach collaborates with other staff, maintains communication with parents, and supports the academic and personal growth of students. Additional duties may include assisting with team selection, managing equipment, organizing events or competitions, and representing the program within the school and community.
