Operational Excellence Manager

What You Will Do
• Lead meaningful, high‑impact process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other proven methodologies
• Keep departmental procedures current, aligned, and consistently followed
• Use data analytics to uncover inefficiencies and drive informed, strategic improvements
• Define and track KPIs to monitor progress and adjust improvement strategies
• Develop, maintain, and optimize training requirements for the Manufacturing department, including a robust training matrix
• Design and deliver training programs that build organizational knowledge and support a culture of continuous improvement
• Serve as the departmental expert on corrective actions—guiding teams, leading projects, and ensuring successful, sustainable outcomes
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, eliminate waste, and reduce variation
• Strengthen collaboration across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and engineering teams
• Research and introduce new technologies, tools, or methodologies that keep us ahead of industry trends
What You Will Bring
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• The ability to obtain (or current possession of) a DOE “Q” Clearance
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with a collaborative and team‑focused mindset
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process mapping, performance metrics, and change management
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and technical/computer proficiencies
• A commitment to ethics, integrity, and building trust across teams
• Creativity, initiative, and the confidence to lead others and drive impactful outcomes

In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
