Overview:
Position Summary:
With the stabilization of our SAP S/4HANA RISE and Cloud First transformation, The Marzetti Company has entered a new phase—transitioning from platform implementation to ongoing business transformation. Our intentionally nimble technical landscape is maintained, improved, and continuously optimized through the capabilities of a centralized Business Transformation team within the Information Technology (IT) department; the Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) team is a core component of this group. The ETS team’s role is to understand the business context of transformation needs and rapidly translate them into technical solutions that align with IT strategy, leverage existing platforms, and accelerate speed to value while ensuring application stability to support ongoing business operations.
The Finance to Manage (FTM) IT Solution Owner (ITSO) will have two main responsibilities: (1) oversight of the Managed Service Provider responsible for maintenance and (2) co-managing enhancements and/or projects aligned with the enterprise-wide application roadmap for solutions in FTM. The IT Solution Owner is responsible for understanding the needs of the business for Finance business processes and addressing those business needs with technology. This technology can be within the SAP solution suite or outside that suite in an integrated Best-In-Breed solution. The shared responsibility of the Product Owner and IT Solution Owner is both short-term, managing the day-to-day activities of assigned resources, and strategic, aligning with an enterprise-wide application roadmap.
The ITSO will leverage their deep knowledge of their business processes and related applications, to engage themselves and their team in all phases of the application development lifecycle (e.g., requirements gathering, analysis, design, test, implementation, and support), test and train end-users on new applications, features, or fixes, and provide support to business teams for troubleshooting and solution services. In some scenarios the ITSO will have direct reports; in these cases, the ITSO will have direct responsibility for planning, directing, and developing the work of consultants.

- Research existing and future SAP capabilities

- Research other CPG / Manufacturing companies to understand how world-class companies are winning with technology
- Manage the work and performance of Contractors providing Application Managed Service support for Applications
- Leverage knowledge of FTM and enterprise technologies, like SAP, to manage a portfolio of maintenance, enhancements and/or projects in a coordinated way to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and to ensure the realization of prioritized and quantitative benefits
- Leverage technical expertise to provide input to a Roadmap for the FTM processes
- Manage cross functional coordination between process areas related to enterprise-wide to define requirements and deliver enterprise-wide business capability solutions
- Manage product updates for all technology solutions supporting the function; if needed, work with third party resources on updates or major releases
- Coordinate outage, break-fix, and minor enhancements as part of day-to-day operations with the Managed Service Provider
- Leverage technical expertise to maintain fit to standard business process solution and ensure that the total cost of ownership and benefits of identified gaps are documented and approved by project leadership
- Partner with the Release Manager, Test Manager, and other IT leaders to optimize IT processes and procedures for the betterment of the organization
- Plan, monitor and control the quality aspects of configuration and development progress versus plan using Project Management best practices
- Plan, manage and participate in system unit test, integration test, user acceptance testing, and other formal and information test activities to test both happy path and non-happy path test scenarios
- Maintain close collaboration and relationships with the business, Managed Service Provider, and the enterprise IT team
- Embrace and comply with solution governance and methodology; seek opportunities for continuous improvement of IT processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst with some experience in IT Application Management, Enterprise Architecture, or Program Management in SAP Finance

- Strong understanding of Finance business process flows and integrated, enterprise process design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 1-3 Years of Manufacturing industry experience
- SAP S4/HANA experience desired
