Job Description

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a Tooling Services Supervisor to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 761.

All offers of employment by Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results. Applicants are responsible scheduling and completing the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

• Maintain Tool Room and Tool Crib staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.

• Ensure staff performance through coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring and appraising work results, conducting training and implementing and enforcing systems,
policies and procedures. 

• Schedules, assigns and monitors work requests; gathers resources and maintains productivity standards. Is point of contact for visitors and requests so tool room
employees can continue their work uninterrupted.

• Provides quality service to internal and external customers by enforcing quality and customer service standards.


• Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering staff to help improve tool and fixture designs plant-wide and makes recommendations for improvement of tool fixtures
and equipment for use in the tool room.


• Maintains safe and healthy working environment by establishing and enforcing standards and adherence to legal regulations.


• Maintains own professional and technical knowledge by attending training, tool shows and reviewing technical and professional publications.


• Trains Tool Crib and Tool Room team members on crib procedures, tool handling, safety, and SAP systems.


• Identifies and lead initiatives to improve tool availability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.


• Drives standardization of tool storage, naming conventions, and crib processes.


• Ensures compliance with company safety and environmental policies in all tool handling and storage practices.

Education and/or Experience - associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school and 5 years of experience in machining or a Journeyman’s card in a related machining field or commensurate machining and management experience.
