Job Description

Role Overview:

This role is part of the global IT organization and will be instrumental in driving the evolution of our retail supply chain capabilities. The leader will oversee a team responsible for support, enhancements, and new initiatives across key supply chain domains including inventory management, warehouse management, order management, order fulfillment logic & available-to-promise (ATP), and transportation management systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in retail supply chain systems, with hands-on experience across legacy platforms, modern architectures, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. This leader will champion modernization efforts, with a strong focus on quality assurance and automation, while scaling and maturing the Global Capability Center (GCC) in India.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

· Lead and scale the India-based Supply Chain Systems team (20–100+ members) within the GCC.

· Align technology strategy with global supply chain and IT objectives.

· Drive modernization of legacy systems and adoption of scalable, cloud-native platforms.

Functional Oversight

· Oversee systems supporting:

o Inventory Management

o Warehouse Management

o Order Management

o Order Fulfillment & ATP Logic

o Transportation Management

· Ensure seamless integration and performance across legacy, modern, and COTS platforms.

Delivery & Operations

· Manage end-to-end delivery of support, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.

· Establish and monitor KPIs for system performance, support SLAs, and project execution.

· Promote automation in testing, deployment, and operations to improve quality and efficiency.

· Strong program/project management and delivery ownership across large teams.

Modernization & Innovation

· Lead transformation initiatives to modernize supply chain systems and infrastructure.

· Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance supply chain agility and resilience.

· Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, and automated QA practices.

· Deep understanding of modern development paradigms, leveraging services, queues, and event-driven, disconnected architectures to build scalable and resilient systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Collaborate with global business and IT leaders to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.

· Serve as a trusted advisor on supply chain technology strategy and execution.

Talent & Capability Building

· Attract, develop, and retain top talent in supply chain systems and IT delivery.

· Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.



Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

· 12+ years of experience in IT with a focus on retail supply chain systems.

· Proven leadership experience managing large teams (20–100+) in a GCC or similar setup.

· Expertise across legacy systems, modern architectures, and COTS platforms (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Oracle).

· Strong background in system modernization, automation, and quality assurance.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
