Overview

M42 delivers comprehensive healthcare services across the full continuum of care; from primary care to advanced specialty treatments. Leveraging cutting-edge health technologies and precision medicine, we ensure the highest standards of effectiveness, efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes. With a global presence spanning more than 480 facilities in 27 countries and a dedicated workforce of over 20,000 professionals, M42 is uniquely positioned to redefine the future of healthcare on a global scale.

Amana Healthcare is a leading long-term care and rehabilitation provider in the Middle East and GCC, and the region’s pioneer in post-acute care services. It offers comprehensive long-term care, post-acute rehabilitation, transitional care, and home healthcare. As part of the M42 network, Amana is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the needs of individuals requiring complex or extended recovery support.

Reporting to the Rehabilitation Manager/Senior Manager of Physiotherapy, the Physiotherapist II is responsible for assessing patients referred for physiotherapy, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring progress and response to therapy. The role requires strong clinical knowledge relevant to the practitioner’s scope, a clear understanding of their responsibilities within each patient’s overall care plan, and solid grounding in anatomy, physiology, evidence‑based practice, and physiotherapy principles across the lifespan. The Physiotherapist II is expected to work in alignment with Amana Healthcare and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, and standards.

The ideal candidate will be competent in delivering advanced, specialized physiotherapy assessment and intervention for adult patients in an inpatient post‑acute rehabilitation setting. The role involves managing a complex caseload—including neurological, orthopaedic, medical, and deconditioned patients—while supporting functional recovery, discharge planning, and safe transition back into the community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Line Manager in achieving the medical facility’s strategic and operational goals.

  • Ensure compliance with JCI, DOH/DHA, and all regulatory requirements while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and timely completion of performance evaluations.

  • Interpret referrals and conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify physiological and psychological needs.

  • Develop, deliver, and adjust individualized treatment plans; independently manage a complex neurorehabilitation and rehabilitation caseload; and provide specialized interventions such as gait training, balance programs, strengthening, respiratory physiotherapy, functional retraining, and equipment prescription.

  • Use standardized outcome measures to monitor progress, ensure patient safety through continuous risk assessment, and adjust interventions based on patient response.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, complete administrative tasks related to billing and insurance, and coordinate with the rehabilitation team regarding equipment and supplies.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, support the development of clinical programs, and contribute to enhancing physiotherapy service quality while remaining aware of KPIs and data collection processes.

  • Provide supervision and guidance when required, pursue ongoing professional development and CME compliance, and communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy, or direct entry into a recognized program culminating in a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

  • Minimum of 3 years of continuous post‑qualification experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

  • Completion of a recognized specialty qualification in line with DOH/DHA specialty certification requirements.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
