Job Description

Do you have a passion for helping students thrive in their education?
OneSchool Global NZ is looking for a committed Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to join our team at the Auckland Campus based in Mangere Bridge.

This role focuses on supporting students, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with students requiring high needs learning or behavioural support.

About the Role:

  • Work with a small group of students and on an individual basis throughout the day.
  • Support students with their independent learning across a range of subjects.
  • Assist in keeping students engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure the best support strategies are in place.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and patient approach with a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Brings a practical, common-sense approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic and patient approach to their support.
  • Ability to work independently while following structured learning plans.
  • Previous experience working with students with ADHD and students who have behaviour and learning challenges.

Role Details:

  • Hours: 30 hours per week , starting at 8:30 am (hours/ days can be flexible for the right candidate)
  • Weeks: This role is a 40 weeks per annum position. School holidays off.
  • Start Date: Term 2, 20th April or ASAP
  • Fixed Term Contract until 11th December 2026, with possibility to be renewed for the following year.
  • Location: OneSchool Global NZ, Auckland Campus.
