Description

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property’s outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position plays a key role in enhancing curb appeal and maintaining property value.

Responsibilities

Maintain and care for all landscaping, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, watering, and fertilizing.
Perform general maintenance and cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas, including trash removal and debris cleanup.
Ensure proper upkeep of outdoor amenities such as playgrounds, dog parks, pool areas, and recreational spaces.
Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the Property Manager.
Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including leaf removal, and ice management as required.
Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper operation and water conservation.
Maintain inventory of landscaping tools, equipment, and supplies, and notify management of any repair or replacement needs.
Work closely with the maintenance team to assist with minor repairs and upkeep as needed.
Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred
Knowledge of basic lawn care, gardening, and irrigation systems
Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license may be required based on property needs
