Use Your Creativity to Change Lives — While Keeping a Healthy Work–Life Balance

At Children’s Aid Society, we believe in the power of creativity, connection, and compassionate care. As a Master’s Level Art Therapist, you’ll help children, adolescents, and families express themselves, heal, and grow through the transformative use of art.

We also believe you deserve support, manageable caseloads, professional growth, and the space to recharge.

About Us

Our Mission: Empowering children and their families to build stronger, healthier lives.
Our Vision: All children are safe and feel loved.

We are a collaborative, mission-driven team committed to making a real impact in the community—and to supporting the professionals who make that possible.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

We prioritize your well-being and professional development just as much as the clients you serve.

  • Paid clinical supervision & case consultation (onsite or virtual)
  • Reasonable caseload: 24 clients
  • Active waiting list—step into a full schedule without outreach
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (full-time)
  • Generous paid time off + 12 paid holidays
  • Fast-track opportunities for leadership roles

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual and group art therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs
  • Conduct assessments of emotional, psychological, and developmental functioning
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Use a variety of creative arts modalities (drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, etc.) to support self-expression and healing
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation and progress notes
  • Integrate additional therapeutic approaches (CBT, mindfulness, play therapy, etc.) when appropriate

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, or related field
  • Certification/licensure as an Art Therapist (e.g., ATR-BC) or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in art therapy
  • Experience with complementary therapeutic modalities is a plus

*Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
