ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Responsible for supervising both administrative and clinical staffs. With the approval of the Program Director; may supervise their hiring, conduct performance evaluations, assign training activities, recommend for promotions, evaluate for discipline and terminations;
- Under the guidance of the Program Director, s/he directs and coordinates all treatment services for patients;
- Supervises case conferences, meeting with staff weekly to assess resident progress; makes recommendations for promotion, demotion, job assignment changes, facility transfers, expulsions, hospital (or other agency) referrals;
- Evaluates and monitors program activities (e.g. counseling, peer encounter groups, seminars and workshops, work assignments);
- Ensures that all personnel policies, procedures and clinical regulatory requirements are adhered to by staff;
- Responsible for administrative functions and reporting, including controlling monthly expenses, scheduling staff and issuing required monthly reports;
- Trains staff in the theoretical and clinical aspects of patient treatment;
- Performs one-to-one counseling with treatment participants, as necessary, on an ongoing basis, relating all data to the director;
- Acts as representative for Program Director when necessary. Must be available on an “on-call” basis 24 hours a day
- Will contribute to the development and education of the workforce by providing field instruction supervision, licensing hours supervision, and/or conducting staff training related to their specialty, clinical license and/or degree, on an as needed basis
