Central Office Additional Information: Show/Hide - Strong understanding of network architecture, systems administration, and cloud-based services;
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management;
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; technical certifications, associate degrees, and/or equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
- Industry certifications (i.e., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA) a plus;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or related field;
- Experience in a K-12 public school environment strongly preferred
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the district's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, servers, storage systems, and telecommunications.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure systems across the district.
- Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with vendor coordination, service providers, and infrastructure-related contracts.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, network security, and access controls.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to technology and data privacy.
- Assist in the planning, documentation, and execution of the district's E-Rate program.
- Support the preparation and submission of E-Rate applications (Forms 470, 471, etc.).
- Help ensure compliance with E-Rate requirements, including documentation, procurement processes, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants to maximize funding opportunities.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the technology support team to ensure timely resolution of service requests.
- Establish and maintain service standards, workflows, and escalation procedures.
- Analyze help desk trends and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, including the Network Manager and Computer Technicians.
- Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-service-oriented team environment.
- Assist in staffing decisions, scheduling, and performance management.
- Act as a representative, as needed, on District Technology Committees.
- Assist in planning and managing infrastructure-related technology projects, including network upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, and system implementations.
- Coordinate timelines, resources, and communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide support for after-school and evening events requiring technology services as requested.
- Serve as a backup to the primary technician responsible for event support, ensuring continuity of service for district activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute technology maintenance, upgrades, and implementations outside of normal working hours to reduce impact on teaching, learning, and district operations.
- Lead or support after-hours emergency response for critical infrastructure incidents, coordinating with internal staff and external vendors to restore services efficiently.
- Assist in developing and managing the infrastructure portion of the technology budget.
- Support procurement processes, including vendor evaluation, quotes, and purchasing in accordance with district policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders as needed.
- Ability to work in varied environments, including server rooms, network closets, and office/classroom settings.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required to support district events, maintenance, and project implementations.
- Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies and critical system issues as needed.
- Ability to travel between district buildings as required.

Salary: In accordance with the established salary guide currently ranging from $90,000 - $110,000
