Job Description

A stable and reputable manufacturing company in Farmington, CT is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on I.D. and O.D. Grinding and Surface Grinding Machinist to join our team.

The Position:

The Grinding Lead is a hands-on position responsible for operating grinding machines and leading a team in the precise operation and maintenance of machines to produce high-quality parts that meet specific tolerances and requirements.

 

In this role you will:

  • Must have experience with I.D. & O.D. grinding and surface grinding.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment, to achieve customer and company goals.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Analyze work instructions, op-sheets, blueprints, and tooling requirements.
  • Perform setups, including tooling, hardware and fixturing required for job.
  • Perform routine quality checks and measurements, make necessary adjustments and/or offsets.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machines and maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Contribute to continual manufacturing process improvement.
  • Maintain company policies and practices for safe working standards.
  • Maintain all safety procedures in accordance with OSHA

 

About You:


  • Machining: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.Willingness to work overtime.
  • Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, and operation sheets
