Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Summer Intern – Clinical Programs will support the Clinical Services team in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of population health and mobile medical programs. This internship provides hands-on exposure to clinical operations, data tracking, and program development within a value-based care environment. The intern will assist with project coordination, reporting, and workflow improvement initiatives while gaining experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the implementation and tracking of clinical programs and initiatives.

  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional projects and meetings across clinical, operations, and support teams.

  • Help track program goals, timelines, deliverables, and key milestones.

  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for program KPIs and dashboards.

  • Support workflow documentation, process mapping, and identification of improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Quality and IT teams to support reporting and EMR-related initiatives.

  • Assist in preparing presentations, summaries, and reports for leadership.

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for Mobile Medical Practice Van operations as needed.

  • Support scheduling, documentation tracking, and care coordination activities for program participants.

  • Attend team meetings and contribute to project updates and discussions.

  • Assist with special projects, including research, grant support activities, and program evaluations.

  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Weekly Hours: 40

Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Duration: June 1st, 2026 – Mid August, 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Current Bachelors or Masters student graduating in either 2026 or 2027.

Experience:

  • Able to pass a typing test with at least 40 WPM.

  • Strong interest in healthcare operations, population health, or value-based care.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exposure to healthcare settings or clinical environments.

  • Experience working with data, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Interest in working with underserved, frail, or elderly populations.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Standing – Duration of up to 6 hours a day.

  • Sitting/Stationary positions – Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.

  • Lifting/Push/Pull – Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the scope of the job using OSHA guidelines, etc.

  • Bending/Squatting – Have to be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.

  • Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas.

  • Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools to complete essential job functions (ie. typing, use of supplies, equipment, etc.)

  • Sight/Visual Requirements – Must be able to visually read documentation, papers, orders, signs, etc., and type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy.

  • Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, co-workers, clients, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, they must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.

  • Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

Salary Range (Min-Max):

$18.00 / Hour
